Mick Farren & The Deviants

The Deviants

The death of Mick Farren of The Deviants on-stage at the Borderline in London on Saturday July 27th has triggered off a wave of obituaries, tributes and memories including my own personal notes on someone I’d known since I was a young hippie. See: The Generalist.

I am pleased that I managed to stage one of the last ever gigs by The Deviants at the Con Club in Lewes. The band featured original members Duncan ‘Sandy’ Sanderson (bass) and Russell Hunter (drums) – who also played with the Pink Fairies – with long-time collaborator Andy Colquhoun (guitar) and Jaki Windmill (percussion). It was a special night.

If you were there, share your memories.

Hola bandito J: It’s a gig I would have enjoyed. Keep playing. Enjoy a prank or two. Always a pal. JamieM
